Integer Project – You will create an integer project. Suggested project formats are listed below. Other formats must be discussed with Ms. Welch, to ensure the format will support all required content. Please see the timeline on the following page for detailed information on when you are expected to have completed certain sections and when the final project is due.

Requirements:
1. Explain the rules for the addition of two integers.
- Give an example of adding a positive and negative where the sum is positive.
- Give an example of adding a positive and a negative where the sum is negative.
- Give an example of adding two negatives
- Give an example of adding opposites
- Give an example of subtracting a positive and negative where the difference is positive.
- Give an example of subtracting a positive and a negative where the difference is negative.
- Give an example of subtracting two negatives
- Give an example of subtracting two positives
- Explain the rules for multiplying and dividing integers.
- Give an example of multiplying a negative and a positive
- Give an example of multiplying a negative and a negative

- Project title information for your project should have all of the following:
- Title for your project
- Your full name
- Section number
Timeline for project:
You will be provided time to work on your integer projects in class on Fridays. Additional class time may be given during the week as deemed appropriate. You may find you need to work on this project outside of math class in order to complete it on time.
Sections 8-1, 7-2, and 7-3
- October 14th – Project Assigned – dates written in your planner.
- October 23rd – “Project Approval Form” Due no later than this date – this is the form stating project format and group members.
- October 26th – You will receive the Project Approval Form back no later than this date – if your project has not been approved, you will conference with Ms. Welch in class to discuss how the project could be adapted to an acceptable format.
- November 11th – Rough draft is due. This means Ms. Welch needs a sketch of your poster (this does not need to be on poster board), a copy of you proposed lyrics, or a rough draft of your script. If you have any questions about what is required for your specific project just ask.
- December 2nd – Peer review. You will need to bring a mostly completed project to class this day. You will meet with at least one other person/group to share projects and get feedback before final project is completed.
- December 11th – Final Project is due! – I will work with other 7/8 teachers to meet with 8-1 on this day.
